Data
Analysis Reporting Tool (DART) Announced by UCT
DALLAS
- Universal Conversion Technologies
(UCT) has announced the release of its new Data Analysis Reporting
Tool (DART). DART is a versatile reporting tool designed specifically
to gather data from a host environment and present it on a PC platform.
DART formats, organizes and configures this host data into easy-to-read
PC reports that can be shared, emailed, or printed as desired. DART
accepts any comma-delimited flat file from the host and can be easily
re-configured on a custom basis, which means that users can quickly
view any configuration of host data they desire.
UCT
initially designed and tested the tool in conjunction with several
major data integration projects. The initial configuration included
reporting for data audit and analysis, conversion results, and post-conversion
balance and reconciliation. Reports can easily be generated for
other projects such as system upgrades and modifications, as well.
"DART
adds a unique value to the software and services that UCT offers
our customers," said Dan O'Hara, Principal and CEO of UCT. "No matter
what your project, DART can show you what's going on at every phase."
"Our
customers still do many data conversion projects on mainframe platforms
because that's where their data and legacy systems reside." Mr.
O'Hara added. "But they love the presentation features that DART
offers to them. Now they can review the entire process, from initial
data analysis to final balancing, on a PC spreadsheet environment.
The flexibility is very powerful."
"During
our projects, which tend to be large and complex, our project managers
and analysts are able to request reports on any conditions and values
they want to examine during the course of analyzing, manipulating,
integrating, converting, and balancing data."
Audit
data, conversion totals, exceptions and balance information are
now all accessible at your desktop, without any time lost filtering
through pages of needless data or endless columns of numbers.
DART
is fully integrated with UCT's other product offerings, including
Data Conversion Engineer (DCE) and Data Conversion Architect (DCA).
