Florist
Keeps Flowers Fresh and Temperature Constant in Cooler with Humitech
Humidity Control Panels
Robert
Adams of Sterling's Flowers & Gifts now has his cooler's moisture
just at the right level keeping the flowers from getting too wet.
His cooler is also colder since the installation of the Humitech
Humidity Control Panels.
"My
flowers are lasting longer and are crisper," stated Adams. "The
flowers last a couple of weeks still looking good." Adams says longevity
is the key in his business and the panels keep his flowers from
any unwanted mildew.
The
panels have helped Adams save money on flowers because of the extra
time they last in the cooler. "It elongates my flower buying process,
and I can use them for a longer span of time," he said. Adams went
on to say that he would recommend the panels to other florists.
"They will definitely see the difference in humidity, moisture,
coolness and the life of the flowers," he continued.
The
easy-to-install panels stay out of the way on the ceiling, don't
have to be plugged in and make no noise, according to Adams. "You
really don't even know they're there. And the Humitech guys come
in and switch them out when needed. It is a very cool and good product,"
he concluded.
Humitech's
objective is to provide an exclusive product to help clients increase
the quality, and extend the shelf life of all perishables. Their
panels' unique natural mineral Sorbite absorbs and desorbs up to
48% its weight in moisture. This extends the shelf life of produce,
meat, fish, poultry and flowers.
Humitech International Group Inc. (www.humitechgroup.com),
founded in 2001, is a Dallas, Texas company that offers commercial
and residential humidity control products that "naturally" increase
the shelf life of perishables, reduce odors and cross contamination
by absorbing/desorbing humidity and provide a colder, crisper walk-in/reach-in
cooler. Each Humitech franchise is individually owned and operated.
